Weekend Wrap-up
Its been a perfect weekend here in Georgia. Sunny, warm, breezy--the whole bit. Too bad there was an hour less of it than there should have been. oh well--I won't gripe about it too much. I did get outside for a few minutes today with Miss S. I was trying to get a little yard work done and thought she would scoot around the driveway for a little while:
She was happy as a clam for about 8 minutes and now she is zonked out on Dad's lap, so I guess the yard work will have to wait until next weekend--but at least I'll get a little knitting time in.
I did some work on the RSC sock. I need to do about 4 cm more before I turn the heel. The foot is worked in two different ribs--a 2x2 on the bottom of the foot and a 2x1 on the top.

As you can see, my colors are pooling so the top of the foot is rather boring. I can see the green portion is starting to make its way around to the top of the foot and now its a race--will the green make it before it gets eaten up by the heel? Will my hands cramp irreparably due to the extremely tight gauge? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
The world will surely know the answer to the first two--as soon as I buckle down and finish the last ooch of the foot. I'm still enjoying the pattern--or, rather, the yarn. I love watching how colors pool while I'm making socks; it always keeps me wanting to do a few more rows which means my socks get done faster.
